New NASCAR Gear
Monday, July 28th, 2008
There’s nothing worse in NASCAR than your favorite driver hooking up with lame sponsors. Lame sponsors means lame gear. You gotta sport your colors as a fan. For example, Mark Martin is a great driver but had Viagara as a sponsor. Who wants to wear a Viagara shirt down to the bar or over to your buddy’s house to watch the race?
So you can imagine my concern recently when my favorite driver Tony Stewart announced he’s leaving Gibbs Racing at the end of the season to be a driver/owner for Stewart-Haas Racing. First off, my Home Depot gear will now be obsolete. I’m gonna have to buy a whole new closet full of stuff. But I really like the black and orange of Home Depot. What will Tony’s new sponsor look like?
My concerns were eased this past weekend when it was announced that Office Depot and Old Spice would be Stewart’s co-sponsors. Red and black, that works for me. Take a look at the pic. The cars are essentially the same. I’ve always been a Degree body heat activated dude but I’m willing to consider other under arm odor protection options. I’m not a stationary purchasing kind of guy but if I was, well… Good enough for me.
I’m guessing the new stuff will be ready to purchase at the end of the season in time for Christmas. How convenient. Now you know what to get me, Terry. No worries about blue pills either.
